N. McCarty Dr
Commercial and fleet tires
A second Houston location built around trucks. Commercial tires sized, fitted and serviced for fleets that measure downtime in dollars per hour.
Chapter 01
What a fleet tire failure actually costs
A commercial tire rarely fails without warning. It gets run under-inflated for a few weeks, the shoulders scrub, the casing heats, and then it lets go on the Beltway at the worst possible hour. By that point the tire is the cheapest part of the problem: the load is late, the driver is stationary, and somebody is paying for a recovery.
That is the reason we run a separate site for commercial work at 3611 N. McCarty Dr rather than squeezing trucks into the retail bays on Lyons Ave. Truck tires need different equipment, different stock and a yard a rig can actually turn around in.

How we spec and fit a commercial set
We start with what the vehicle really does rather than what it is rated for. A local delivery truck doing short runs with heavy stop-start wear needs a different casing and tread pattern from a trailer doing long interstate miles, and putting a highway tire on a yard truck is an expensive way to learn that.
From there it is load index and inflation pressure matched to the axle weights, correct torque on fitting, and valve and rim inspection while the wheel is off. Mismatched dual pairs are one of the most common things we find on a truck that has been serviced piecemeal at whatever shop was nearest.

Chapter 03
Keeping the set alive after it is fitted
Pressure is the whole game. A commercial tire run ten percent under does not look flat, it just quietly cooks the casing and takes thousands of miles off the life you paid for. Regular pressure checks are the cheapest maintenance on a truck and the most commonly skipped.
We would rather see a fleet on a schedule than see it once a year after a blowout. If you are running more than a couple of units around Houston, talk to us about how often the set genuinely needs eyes on it.
